HYDERABAD, Mar 11 (APP): The long-standing issue of shortage of line staff in the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has been addressed as 20 trained line staff recruited through an outsourcing company have joined duty in Latifabad Division-II.
According to a HESCO spokesperson, Executive Engineer (XEN) Latifabad-II Munir Panhwar, SDO Operations Sub-Division Shaheed Umeed Ali Irfan Shaikh, SDO Hussainabad Manzoor Elahi, SDO Kohsar Mashkoor Memon and SDO Allama Iqbal Adil Imran welcomed the newly inducted staff.
HESCO Chief Faizullah Dahri said that due to the retirement of employees and the absence of recruitment for a long time, there had been a shortage of field staff. However, in the first phase, a total of 200 line staff will join duty in various sub-divisions.
He said the outsourced staff had been recruited in accordance with the relevant rules and expressed hope that the induction of new line staff would help improve field operations.
