The Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO) handed over Solar Home Systems to 137 eligible households in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Ghotki and Sangar districts on Tuesday.
137 households get solar systems in four Sindh districts

SUKKUR, Jun 09 (APP):The Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO) handed over Solar Home Systems to 137 eligible households in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Ghotki and Sangar districts on Tuesday.
The distribution was carried out under the Solar Home System (Off/On-Grid) Project funded by the Sindh Energy Department. Officials said the project aims to provide reliable and affordable energy to 275,000 households across Sindh through on-grid and off-grid solar technology.
According to SRSO Media Consultant Jameel Ahmed , all 137 beneficiaries were selected after a pre-survey and transparent verification process under the provincial government’s solar energy programme.
In Mirpurkhas district, 39 SHS kits were distributed 13 in Taluka Mirpurkhas and 26 in Taluka Sindhri. In Sanghar, 38 kits were given to households in UC Bittor. In Sukkur, 35 kits were handed over to beneficiaries from Pano Aqil taluka at the SRSO office. In Ghotki, 35 kits were distributed to verified beneficiaries of Taluka Ghotki at the SRSO district office.
SRSO field teams and community representatives attended the distribution events. Beneficiaries were briefed on installation, operation and maintenance of the systems.
