ISLAMABAD, June 22 (APP): State Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman on Wednesday condemned the murder of famous Qawal Amjad Sabri and assured the National Assembly that his killer would be arrested soon.
Responding to a point of order raised by MQM’s Dr Farooq Sattar,
the minister said it was the second incident occurred in Karachi during
last three days.
He said the Ministry of Interior had taken notice of Sabri’s murder
and directed the security forces to probe the matter and present
report in that regard.
He said the current situation of Karachi was much better than 2013. Some elements wanted to disturb the peace of city, he added.
Earlier, Dr Farooq Sattar said unknown assailants had targeted the
car of Amjad Sabri near Laiqatabad flyover.
He strongly condemned the brutal act and said the government and security forces should arrest the killers of Amjed Sabri.
He said an operation had started two years ago with the mandate of
all political parties to restore peace in Karachi but now some elements wanted to disturb the peace.
