In her message on World Autism Awareness Day, she paid tribute to the mothers who have dedicated their lives to caring for their autistic children.
She noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, efforts are being made to bridge the gap between society and children with autism, creating an inclusive environment where their emotions and perspectives are understood and respected.
She described the Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Center for Autism as a significant step toward building a Punjab where every child feels a sense of belonging.
Sania Ashiq further stated that beyond providing free therapies and treatment, the government is committed to ensuring that these children feel supported, knowing that their chief minister stands with them.
Reaffirming the commitment of the Special Education Department, she emphasized that children with autism will be integrated into the system based on their rights, not sympathy, adding that every child is important and a valuable asset for the future.
