SARGODHA, Sep 07 (APP):Work to upgrade fire safety protocols and renovate electrical systems is currently underway at Dr Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital to safeguard patients, attendants, and hospital staff from potential hazards.
According to a spokesperson on Monday, Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Muhammad Sohail Khawaja stated that the hospital administration had initiated the replacement of faulty ceiling fans, damaged switches, and defective electrical equipment to eliminate the risk of short circuits and accidental fire incidents.
He informed that necessary repair and replacement work was rapidly progressing across various facilities, including the main building, the Arif Block, and Mola Bakhsh Hospital.
“The ongoing maintenance work is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours,” Dr. Khawaja assured.
The Medical Superintendent highlighted that basic fire safety arrangements had already been established, adding that the current measures were designed to further reinforce the electrical infrastructure and minimize all operational risks.
Reaffirming the administration’s resolve, Dr. Khawaja emphasized that the safety, security, and well-being of patients, attendants, and healthcare workers remained the top priority of the hospital administration.
