BAHAWALPUR, Jun 04 (APP): A woman was killed as she was attacked in a dispute in Khanqah area of the district.
According to official sources in the police and the Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, a dispute began between the children of two neighboring families in a locality in Khanqah town.
“During the confrontation, one woman allegedly struck the other with a stick,” they said, adding that the blow hit the victim on the head, causing critical injuries. She died at the scene as a result of the injury.
The police and team of the Punjab Emergency Service reached the scene and shifted the body of the woman to Bahawal Victoria Hospital for legal and medical formalities.
The victim was identified as 60-years-old Parveen, a resident of Mauza Shao Channar, Khanqah.
