Woman dies in apparent suicide while two girls hospitalized in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Jun 27 (APP): A 35-year-old woman died while two young girls were hospitalized after a suspected poisoning incident near Pakistan Printer on Circular Road in the Waris Khan area of Rawalpindi on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122, three emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene after reports that the woman had allegedly consumed pills in a suspected suicide attempt.
Two girls, aged 15 and 8, were also reported to have ingested pills and were found alive at the scene.
The deceased was identified as Tabasum, 35, daughter of Hakeem Dur Muhammad. Rescue teams shifted her body to a hospital, while the two girls Eman Fatima, 15, and Hamd Shahzadi, 8, both daughters of Usman were shifted to hospital in stable condition for medical treatment.
Initial reports indicate that one of the girls was suffering from depression.
However, authorities have not officially confirmed the circumstances surrounding the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.
