LAHORE, Jul 20 (APP): The weekly general parade was held across Punjab, including Lahore, on Monday on the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem to promote discipline, professionalism and physical fitness among police personnel.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, senior police officers inspected the parade while the participating contingents presented a salute.
Personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, Special Protection Unit (SPU), Ladies Police, Investigation Wing and Operations Wing police stations participated in the parade.
The spokesperson said senior officers inspected the turnout of officers and personnel, while the contingents performed a march-past. Women police personnel also participated actively in the parade.
He said the weekly general parade was being conducted regularly every Monday across the province. District police officers also inspected the armoury, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouse and other relevant sections.
IGP Abdul Kareem said the objective of the general parade was to keep police personnel alert at all times and strengthen discipline, unity and esprit de corps within the force.
He said the parade represented the highest standards of discipline and reflected the history, traditions and professional values of the Punjab Police.
The IGP said regular participation in the parade helped officers and personnel maintain physical fitness, thereby enhancing their professional capabilities and overall operational performance.
