LAHORE, Jun 12 (APP):The Water and Sanitation Authority (Wasa) Lahore managing director on Friday announced a zero-tolerance policy against any negligence, carelessness, or delay in operational activities during monsoon season.
Chairing a high-level meeting to review monsoon preparedness, MD Ghaffran Ahmed directed all the officers to remains fully engaged in serving the public and ensuring effective drainage arrangements during the ongoing monsoon season.
In light of the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast of further rainfall, Wasa Lahore has been placed on high alert. The MD emphasized that all arrangements must remain fully operational and active at all times to provide citizens with the best possible drainage services during rain events.
During the meeting, the MD directed officials to maintain minimum water levels in all wet wells and ensure the complete functionality of all pumping machinery. Instructions were also issued to keep generators at all disposal stations in operational condition and to ensure the availability of sufficient fuel reserves for uninterrupted operations.
Reaffirming Wasa Lahore’s commitment to public service, the MD stated that any form of negligence, carelessness, or delay in monsoon operations would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
