WASA achieves record 90pc revenue recovery for first time

Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad has achieved a historic 90 per cent revenue recovery in September for the first time in its history.

FAISALABAD, Oct 01 (APP): Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad has achieved a historic 90 per cent revenue recovery in September for the first time in its history.
Managing Director Engineer Saqib Raza appreciated the WASA recovery teams and directed them to sustain the momentum and intensify efforts to achieve the ultimate target of 100 per cent recovery. He issued these directions while presiding over a special meeting convened to review the performance of the revenue recovery system.
Deputy Managing Director (Admin) Shoaib Rashid, Director Finance Muhammad Arif Siriani, Directors Revenue Shehryar Hassan, Muhammad Iqbal Malik, Umar Iftikhar and other officers attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that WASA Faisalabad’s revenue recovery teams had achieved a record 90 percent recovery target during September, marking the first time that the organization had reached this level of performance in its history.
Appreciating the efforts of the revenue officers and field teams, the MD WASA directed them to maintain the pace of recovery and further strengthen field operations so that the remaining gap could be bridged and the 100 percent revenue recovery target achieved.
He also called for increasing the number of commercial consumers, stressing that expansion of the commercial consumer base would contribute to improving WASA’s revenue position and help the organization move towards full recovery.
He directed the concerned officers to keep revenue recovery teams fully active in the field and ensure effective follow-up with consumers regarding outstanding dues.
He urged consumers to pay their monthly water and sewerage bills and outstanding dues on time, saying timely payments were essential for ensuring the continued provision of reliable water supply and drainage services.
He said that improved revenue recovery would enable WASA to further enhance the quality and standard of services being provided to citizens while sustained cooperation from consumers would strengthen the utility’s capacity to maintain and improve its service infrastructure.
