RAWALPINDI, Aug 02 (APP):The institutional reform roadmap mandates the launching of market-aligned academic programmes subject to Academic Council approval, along with prioritizing international research grants, high-impact journal publications and digital infrastructure expansion to advance women’s higher education.
The priorities were outlined during an executive review meeting with all academic department heads, chaired by Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Zarif, newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Women University (RWU), following the resumption of her charge.
Addressing faculty leadership, Dr. Tayyaba emphasized that long-term institutional growth will focus on sustainable governance, faculty development, and aligning degree programs with global standards.
Dr. Tayyaba, who brings over 27 years of academic experience and previous vice-chancellorships at two Sindh universities, has been appointed as VC RWU for a four-year tenure by the Governor of Punjab
