University of Sargodha (UoS) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas had a productive meeting with Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan, Minister for Higher Education, Punjab, to discuss key development initiatives and the university’s recent achievements.
UoS VC meets Minister Sikandar

SARGODHA, Jun 10 (APP): University of Sargodha (UoS) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas had a productive meeting with Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan, Minister for Higher Education, Punjab, to discuss key development initiatives and the university’s recent achievements.
According to a press release issued by UoS, the meeting was also graced by Rana Munawar Ghous Khan, Chairman Punjab Zakat & Ushr Council, Malik Shoaib Awan, Chairman Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), and Mian Sultan Ali Ranjha, Member Punjab Assembly (MPA).
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas briefed the Minister on the university’s recent performance in the Higher Education Commission’s research productivity rankings. He highlighted that the University of Sargodha secured 1st position among general category universities in Punjab and overall at 9th position, surpassing several leading institutions, including LUMS.
The Vice Chancellor also shared progress on three major initiatives: the establishment of an Offshore Campus in China, a Sino-Pak Hospital, and an International Boarding School.
Rana Sikandar Hayat congratulated the University of Sargodha on its outstanding academic and research achievements and appreciated the significant progress made under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas. He commended the dedication and hard work of the university administration and assured the government’s support for initiatives aimed at strengthening higher education, research excellence, and international collaboration.
