The University of Gujrat (UoG) on Friday reviewed its Fall 2026 admissions strategy and research initiatives during a meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq at the Hafiz Hayat Campus.

GUJRAT, Jul 17 (APP): The University of Gujrat (UoG) on Friday reviewed its Fall 2026 admissions strategy and research initiatives during a meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq at the Hafiz Hayat Campus.
According to university sources, the meeting was attended by deans, heads of departments, directors, and other senior officials. Participants reviewed admission applications received by various departments and discussed measures to increase enrolment and make the admissions campaign more effective. Addressing the meeting, the vice chancellor said the university was committed to promoting quality education by admitting talented and academically outstanding students. He said higher enrolment would contribute to the institution’s financial sustainability and urged all departments to play an active role in attracting deserving candidates. He emphasized that merit would remain the primary criterion for admissions. The meeting also reviewed the university’s research performance and discussed measures to enhance research output. Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq said the university had introduced a comprehensive research policy and launched the Oslo Award to recognize and encourage outstanding researchers.
He said quality research played a vital role in strengthening the university’s academic standing and stressed the need to support and motivate faculty members engaged in high-quality research.
