MUZAFFARGARH , Jul 22 (APP):A young man was injured after an unidentified assailant opened fire on him District, Layyah , the police said on Wednesday.
An investigation had been launched and a criminal case registered, they added.
The shooting occurred in Ward No. 5, Tehsli Karor Lal Esan , where the attacker fled the scene after opening fire, according to police.
The victim was identified as Ahmad Khan Siahar.
The police rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the incident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital .
The police said that efforts were underway to trace and arrest the suspect.
