UAF inks agreement with PIPFA for institutional development

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for strengthening collaboration in professional education, capacity building and institutional development.

FAISALABAD, Jun 16 (APP): The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for strengthening collaboration in professional education, capacity building and institutional development.
The signing ceremony was held at the Syndicate Committee Room of UAF where Vice Chancellor UAF Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali and President of PIPFA Mr. Usman Ahsan signed the LoI on behalf of their institutions.
UAF spokesman said here on Tuesday that under this agreement, both institutions would enhance professional competencies in the fields of accounting, finance, audit, governance, and public financial management.
The collaboration would also focus on faculty development, training programs, professional certifications, and knowledge-sharing initiatives for students and faculty members, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali emphasized the importance of capacity building in accounting, finance, audit assurance, and public financial management for ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient project management.
He said that partnerships between academia and professional bodies are essential to equip graduates and faculty members with contemporary skills and practical knowledge required by the evolving job market.
Usman Ahsan highlighted PIPFA’s commitment to supporting UAF in faculty development and professional training initiatives.
He assured that PIPFA possesses the expertise and resources to assist the university in strengthening its academic and professional development programs in line with the vision of the university administration.
The participants expressed confidence that the collaboration would open new avenues for academic excellence, professional development, and institutional capacity building, benefiting students, faculty, and the broader community.
