Two persons, including a 12-year-old boy, drowned after their motorcycle plunged into the BRB Canal while crossing a bridge in Lahore on Friday, according to Rescue 1122.

LAHORE, Jul 03 (APP):Two persons, including a 12-year-old boy, drowned after their motorcycle plunged into the BRB Canal while crossing a bridge in Lahore on Friday, according to Rescue 1122.

A spokesperson said the emergency service received information that two motorcyclists had fallen into the canal while crossing a bridge over the BRB Canal.

Rescue divers launched a search operation and initially recovered the motorcycle along with the body of one victim from the canal. The body was handed over to the police as the deceased could not be identified immediately.

The search operation continued, and rescue divers later recovered the second body from the canal. Following the completion of the operation, the victims were identified as Imran, 30, and Ahsan, 12.

Further investigation was underway, the spokesperson added.
