Three persons, including a woman and a child, were killed while another woman sustained serious injuries in a road accident near Fateh Pur Chowk on Friday.

GUJRAT, Jun 19 (APP): Three persons, including a woman and a child, were killed while another woman sustained serious injuries in a road accident near Fateh Pur Chowk on Friday.

According to officials of Rescue 1122, a speeding motorcycle collided with a truck due to over-speeding, resulting in the deaths of three people on the spot and leaving one woman critically injured.

The deceased were identified as Rimsha Bibi(25),Waseem Abbas(25) and Azlan(1.5).

All the victims were residents of Malakpur Mirza.

While Fatima Waseem (23) suffered serious head injuries in the accident.

Rescue 1122 personnel provided her with first aid at the scene before shifting her to District Headquarters Hospital Gujrat for further treatment.

Police completed legal formalities and shifted the bodies to the hospital for medico-legal procedures.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
