SSP Operations reviews Muharram security arrangements in Taxila
RAWALPINDI, Jun 20 (APP):On the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mahboob visited Taxila to review security arrangements for the 10th and 13th Muharram processions.
The visit was accompanied by SP Potohar, DSP Taxila, SHO Taxila, and other police officials. During the inspection, the SSP Operations reviewed the procession routes and issued necessary instructions to ensure foolproof security measures.
He directed that entry into majalis and processions would only be allowed after thorough body searches and passing through walk-through gates. He further stated that all adjoining roads and streets along the procession routes would be sealed to ensure public safety and smooth conduct of religious gatherings.
SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mahboob emphasized that all measures are being taken to ensure foolproof security during Muharram-ul-Haram. He added that strict implementation of the government of Punjab’s SOPs and code of conduct would be ensured throughout the holy month.
