SSP Investigation stresses timely investigation, improved service delivery

RAWALPINDI, Aug 09 (APP): Senior Superintendent of Police SSP Investigation Nasir Ali Khan chaired a meeting at the Police Lines Headquarters and reviewed the performance of officers and issued directions for improving the investigation and prosecution process.
The meeting was attended by SDPOs, reader staff and other police officers.
SSP directed officers to ensure that challans in serious and other cases are prepared and submitted within the stipulated time.
He further ordered that all pending challans be disposed of at the earliest.
He directed police officers to ensure the immediate arrest of suspects and timely submission of challans in cases involving violence, abuse or harassment of women and children.
Senior officers were instructed to personally supervise the investigation of serious and important cases to ensure transparency, merit and timely completion of investigations.
SSP Investigation Nasir Ali Khan said that effective service delivery and merit-based investigation are among the top priorities of the police, adding that every possible effort should be made to provide justice to citizens without unnecessary delay.
