Spoken English training to be started for 35,000 teachers of govt schools

The School Education Department has decided to launch Spoken English Language Training Program to improve the English language skills of 35,000 teachers of government schools.

LAHORE, Jun 08 (APP): The School Education Department has decided to launch Spoken English Language Training Program to improve the English language skills of 35,000 teachers of government schools.
Under this program, teachers will be trained in speaking and writing English as per international standards.
According to the School Education Department, the training program will be run in collaboration with the international organization Berlitz and NRTC. The aim of this initiative is to enhance the professional skills of teachers and enable them to guide students more effectively in the classrooms.
According to officials, the current English proficiency of teachers will be assessed before the start of the training, while completing the assessment Google form has been made mandatory for participation in the program.
The training sessions will be held in the nearest designated District PECTAA Head Offices or selected schools. Classes will be held twice a week and the duration of each session has been fixed at two hours and fifteen minutes.
The School Education Department has clarified that 100 percent attendance in each session will be mandatory for all teachers selected in the program so that the desired results of the training can be achieved.
According to education experts, this move can prove to be a significant breakthrough in improving the quality of English teaching in government schools and increasing the language skills of students.
