LAHORE, Sep 17 (APP):The Punjab Special Education Department has taken a significant step to facilitate special-needs children by providing identification services directly at their schools.
Punjab Special Education Secretary Syed Shoaib Iqbal met the Director General (DG) NADRA South to discuss arrangements for providing identification services to children with special needs.
According to a spokesperson for the Special Education Department, NADRA mobile buses and vans will visit special education schools, where NADRA staff will process the children’s identification documents. The services will be provided at the schools, eliminating the need for children and their parents to visit NADRA offices.
The initiative is aimed at reducing the difficulties and inconvenience faced by special-needs children and their parents in completing bureaucratic procedures.
Syed Shoaib Iqbal said the collaboration between the Punjab Special Education Department and NADRA would continue, adding that special-needs children would no longer have to make repeated visits to NADRA offices to obtain their special identification cards.
