Special Assistant to CM reviews muharram security and facilities

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister(CM) Punjab on Inspection Team Shoaib Mirza on Friday visited Shahpur, Sahiwal and Silanwali tehsils to review security,sanitation and administrative arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram processions and gatherings.

SARGODHA, Jun 19 (APP):Special Assistant to the Chief Minister(CM) Punjab on Inspection Team Shoaib Mirza on Friday visited Shahpur, Sahiwal and Silanwali tehsils to review security,sanitation and administrative arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram processions and gatherings.
The visit was made on the special directives of Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz Sharif to ensure peace, interfaith harmony and provision of maximum facilities to mourners across the Sargodha division.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner(DC),Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry and District Police Officer(DPO) Sohaib Ashraf, the special assistant inspected imambargahs, procession routes, control points and medical aid centers.
During the visit, Shoaib Mirza reviewed QR code-based panic button systems and alternative traffic plans devised to facilitate the public during Muharram processions.
He said providing a safe,peaceful and well-facilitated environment for mourners was the top priority of the Punjab government.
Officials briefed the delegation on security arrangements,lighting,drainage and the availability of Rescue 1122 and field hospitals along procession routes.
The DC informed the visiting official that the district administration, police and peace committees were working in close coordination, adding that majalis held during the initial days of Muharram had concluded peacefully.
Mirza expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and lauded the performance of the district administration and law enforcement agencies for maintaining vigilance and preventing any untoward incident.
