LAHORE, Jun 29 (APP): Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore’s (SPAL) sanitation teams on Monday remained actively engaged across the city to ensure the timely provision of efficient cleanliness services.
Under the direction of Suthra Punjab Authority DG Babar Sahib Din, special washing activities were being carried out throughout the city, including at Lahore’s major entry and exit points. Dedicated teams have been deployed at Babu Sabu, Thokar Niaz Baig, Saggian Bridge, Ravi Bridge and other key access routes to maintain cleanliness standards.
Early morning washing operations were completed on Ferozepur Road, Jail Road, Mall Road and in various areas of Gulberg.
Meanwhile, special sanitation teams remain stationed around Data Darbar, Lorry Adda, Azadi Chowk and the Railway Station to ensure uninterrupted cleanliness services in crowded areas. More than 7,000 waste containers were being cleared during the morning shift. Alongside commercial markets, residential areas were being gradually brought under a zero-waste drive. Special washing operations were also underway around Expo Centre, G-1 Market, Doctors Hospital, Jinnah Hospital and adjoining roads.
Washing teams have additionally been mobilized in Bhogiwal Road, Gujarpura and China Scheme areas.
DG Babar Sahib Din urged citizens to report sanitation-related complaints through the Suthra Punjab helpline 1139 or via social media platforms.
