SPA holds Kashmir solidarity rally
FAISALABAD, Aug 05 (APP):Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA) on Wednesday organized a solidarity rally to mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir and reaffirm support for people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmiri in addition to calling upon the international community to facilitate implementation of United Nations resolutions on Kashmir dispute.
Managing Director (MD) SPA Faisalabad Abid Hussain Bhatti led the rally while a large number of officers and employees of the agency participated in it. They carried flags of Pakistan and Kashmir and chanted slogans expressing solidarity with Kashmiri people and support for their right of self-determination.
Addressing the participants, Abid Hussain Bhatti said that Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir provided an opportunity to renew the nation’s commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir in their longstanding struggle. He said that Kashmiri people had rendered immense sacrifices over several decades in pursuit of their right to self-determination and that entire Pakistani nation continued to extend unwavering moral, political and diplomatic support to their cause.
The participants condemned India’s unilateral measures of August 05, 2019 as well as human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
They urged the international community to play an effective role in ensuring that Kashmiri people were granted their right of self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.
The speakers emphasized that lasting peace and stability in South Asia were closely linked with a peaceful and just resolution of Kashmir dispute and Pakistan would continue support for Kashmiri people.
Later, special prayers were offered for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
