Six TLP workers denied bail in arson, police attack case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday rejected the post-arrest bail applications of six workers of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan in a case relating to arson, vandalism and attacks on police.

LAHORE, Apr 06 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday rejected the post-arrest bail applications of six workers of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan in a case relating to arson, vandalism and attacks on police.
Judge Manzer Ali Gill heard the bail petitions and ordered dismissal of the applications of accused Umar Jahangir, Irfan, Akhlaq and other co-accused.
The court, however, approved the bail plea of accused Nazeer Ahmad.
Meanwhile, proceedings on the bail applications of accused Usman, Sohaib and other co-accused were adjourned till April 8.
According to the prosecution, the accused were involved in violence against police officials and incidents of arson during unrest. The case is registered at Shahdara Police Station.
