BAHAWALPUR, Oct 08 (APP): The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) organised a session on Mindfulness, Meditation and Inner Growth to promote techniques for self-awareness, emotional well-being, positive thinking and inner peace among students and faculty members.
According to an official press release issued by the IUB Here, Capt. Saera Fazal, Founder of Saeera Mann Taq Organisation, was the resource person for the session. She not only shared her valuable insights on mindfulness, meditation and inner growth but also offered practical techniques to manage stress, develop self-awareness, cultivate inner peace and lead a more balanced and purposeful life.
In addition, she demonstrated a meditation technique and guided the participants through a practical exercise, enabling them to experience the benefits of mindfulness and self-realization firsthand. Her engaging approach left the audience feeling inspired and equipped with tools they could apply in their daily lives. Dr. Qaisera Fazal, President of the Takmeel Women Society, also served as an invited keynote speaker. She interacted with the students and faculty members and shared thoughtful perspectives on personal development, self-awareness and the importance of nurturing inner strength and positive thinking.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, appreciated the initiative taken by the SDGs Collaboration Center and underscored the importance of holistic development in universities. He remarked that academic institutions should focus not only on intellectual growth but also on the emotional, social and personal well-being of students. He further emphasized the significance of communication skills and confidence, describing them as integral to personality development.
Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Patron of the SDGs Collaboration Center, said that mindfulness and meditation provide valuable opportunities for reflection, emotional balance and inner growth. She emphasized the importance of creating a university environment that promotes well-being, resilience, empathy, self-awareness and positive personal development.
