Scholarship cheques distributed among minority students
RAWALPINDI, Jun 19 (APP):Punjab Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Department distributed educational scholarship cheques among deserving minority students at a ceremony held on Thursday.
Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Ziaullah Shah and Additional Deputy Commissioner (HQ) Abdul Rehman Khan presided over the event.
Scholarship cheques were given to male and female students to support continuation of their education.
Speaking on the occasion, Ziaullah Shah said education was the foundation of development and prosperity, adding that the government was committed to facilitating minority students in acquiring quality education. He said such scholarships encouraged deserving students and helped them achieve their academic goals.
Abdul Rehman Khan said the district administration was playing an active role in promoting the welfare of minority communities and ensuring provision of government facilities. He urged students to pursue education with dedication and contribute to national development.
