Safdar reviews zero-waste sanitation operation at commercial market
RAWALPINDI, Aug 27 (APP):Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA), Rawalpindi, Rana Sajid Safdar, on Thursday visited the Commercial Market and inspected the ongoing zero-waste sanitation operation.
Safdar reviewed cleanliness arrangements, waste collection and the performance of field teams in different parts of the market. He directed officers and staff to improve sanitation standards in the market further and adjoining areas and ensure that no garbage accumulates at any point.
He said providing a clean and healthy environment to citizens, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was a top priority of SPA. Rana directed field officers to ensure continuous cleaning and maintain zero-waste conditions at commercial areas, markets and public places.
The MD directed that complaints regarding sanitation should be addressed promptly and that staff attendance, cleaning schedules and waste-lifting operations be effectively monitored.
Safdar said cleanliness was not a one-time activity but a continuous responsibility, requiring regular field monitoring and timely action.
He also urged citizens to dispose of waste at designated points and cooperate with sanitation teams to help keep the city clean and beautiful.
