RWMC finalises zero-waste sanitation plan for Youm-e-Istehsal events

The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC), under the Suthra Punjab programme, has finalised a comprehensive sanitation plan to ensure cleanliness during events, rallies and special programmes being organised across the city on August 5.

RAWALPINDI, Aug 04 (APP):The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC), under the Suthra Punjab programme, has finalised a comprehensive sanitation plan to ensure cleanliness during events, rallies and special programmes being organised across the city on August 5.
Managing Director, Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA), and Chief Executive Officer RWMC, Rana Sajid Safdar, said zero-waste sanitation, lime sprinkling, waste collection, and the special deployment of sanitation staff would be ensured at all procession routes and event venues.
He said the SPA would also organise a rally to mark Youm-e-Istehsal, in which officers, employees and sanitation workers would participate to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
Rana said the day symbolised solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, adding that the agency would ensure both effective sanitation arrangements and a clean environment for participants throughout the commemorative events.
He directed all operational teams to complete cleaning before the start of programmes, maintain sanitation during the events and immediately restore all venues to a zero-waste condition after their conclusion.
