Rs27m given to families of six martyred, deceased rescuers

Punjab Emergency Services (PES) Secretary Dr. Rizwan Naseer on Wednesday met families of martyred and deceased rescuers at Rescue Headquarters, inquired about their well-being and provided financial assistance.

LAHORE, Apr 08 (APP): Punjab Emergency Services (PES) Secretary Dr. Rizwan Naseer on Wednesday met families of martyred and deceased rescuers at Rescue Headquarters, inquired about their well-being and provided financial assistance.
According to spokesperson, a total of six families of rescuers were provided financial support amounting to 27 million rupees, in accordance with government regulations.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rizwan said the care and welfare of families of martyred and deceased rescuers is the responsibility of department. “The rescue family never leaves its members or their families alone,” he added.
He also issued directives to ensure all possible assistance and support for the families of rescuers.
According to details, one rescuer was martyred, three died in road accidents, and two lost their lives due to other causes.
