A rickshaw driver was killed and four other people, including a woman and a child, were injured in a collision between a rickshaw and a motorcycle near Nisar Boota Chowki in Pakistan’s eastern city of Burewala on Thursday, rescue officials said.

BUREWALA, Aug 7 (APP):A rickshaw driver was killed and four other people, including a woman and a child, were injured in a collision between a rickshaw and a motorcycle near Nisar Boota Chowki in Pakistan’s eastern city of Burewala on Thursday, rescue officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, the crash left five people traveling on the two vehicles injured. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, provided first aid and shifted the victims to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Burewala.

The rickshaw driver, identified as Ismail, son of Jahangir and a resident of Arifwala, later died of his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Rescue officials said one of the remaining injured was in critical condition.

Police have launched an investigation and initiated legal proceedings into the incident
