Rescue 1122 responds to 13,000 emergencies in Multan

MULTAN, Jun 02 (APP):The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 13,190 emergencies across Multan during May and rescued 13,133 victims.
This was said by District Emergency Officer Dr Hussain Mian on Tuesday while sharing the monthly report.
Among the emergencies attended were 2,793 accidents, 163 fire incidents, 346 crime-related emergencies, nine building collapse incidents and 7,863 medical emergencies, including cardiac, respiratory and other critical cases.
Rescue teams shifted 5,085 victims to hospitals, while 6,814 people were provided first aid at the scene. Twelve people lost their lives in road traffic accidents before rescue teams could provide assistance.
The service also transferred 740 patients from one hospital to another on the advice of doctors for better medical treatment. In addition, Rescue 1122 rescued and provided medical care to 51 animals during the month.
