Rescue 1122 recovers two bodies from canal water
FAISALABAD, Jun 09 (APP): Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has recovered two bodies from Rakh Branch and Jhang Branch canals.
Rescue 1122 spokesman said here on Tuesday that Rescue 1122 received call that a human corpse was floating on surface of canal water near Lyallpur Galleria on Canal Road.
After information, the emergency responders rushed to the spot and fished out the body of an unidentified man who was approximately 40 years old and his corpse was handed over to Madina Town police for further investigation and identification.
Similarly, a 4-year-old girl Komal drowned in a Rajbah of Jhang Branch Canal near Chak No.28-JB on Aminpur Road after reportedly going missing from her home.
After receiving information, Rescue 1122 immediately launched a search operation and deployed teams to comb the Rajbah and surrounding areas.
After hectic effort, the rescuers located and recovered the girl’s body from canal water which was later on handed over to her family for burial after completing necessary formalities, he added.
