Rescue-1122 averts major losses as firefighters tame 3 blazes in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, Jun 07 (APP): The Rescue-1122 firefighters successfully contained three separate fire incidents in different parts of Faisalabad district, preventing major industrial and commercial losses through quick response and professional firefighting operations.
A spokesman said here on Sunday that one major incident occurred near Maharanwala in Tehsil Jaranwala where a fire broke out in the warehouse of Rafhan Maize Products located on Khurarianwala Road.
Rescue 1122 control room received an emergency call reporting flames engulfing the warehouse and multiple firefighting vehicles and personnel were dispatched promptly to the scene.
He said that the chemicals stored inside the warehouse caught fire due to intense heat, causing the blaze to spread to nearby shoppers, packing bags and wooden materials. The fire engulfed an area of approximately four kanals out of the warehouse’s total 20-kanal premises.
Rescue 1122 firefighters launched a coordinated operation and successfully prevented the flames from spreading further, bringing the situation under complete control after strenuous efforts.
In another incident, a fire erupted at a Bata shoe outlet near Jawad Club Chowk on Narwala Road.
He said that the blaze spread to shoes, packing material and furniture inside the building. The affected structure comprised three shops while residential accommodation for employees was located on the upper floor.
He said that Rescue 1122 teams reached the site promptly and carried out firefighting operations with professional expertise, successfully containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading to adjoining properties.
Meanwhile, a coal-laden truck parked near the Customs Office (Dry Port) on Jhumra Road also caught fire after the coal began smouldering due to excessive heat.
Receiving information, Rescue 1122 fire crews rushed to the spot and initiated cooling operations to prevent the fire from intensifying.
The firefighters effectively controlled the situation by cooling the smouldering coal and stopping the fire from spreading, thereby averting significant financial losses.
All three emergencies were handled successfully through timely response and coordinated firefighting efforts while no loss of life was reported in any of the incidents, Rescue 1122 spokesman added.
