RCB holds open court to address civic issues

The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) on Friday organized an open court at Rumi Park to hear public complaints and resolve civic issues.

RAWALPINDI, Apr 03 (APP):The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) on Friday organized an open court at Rumi Park to hear public complaints and resolve civic issues.
The event was held on the special directives of the Director General Military Lands and Cantonments. Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal presided over the session, while heads of various branches were also present.
A large number of cantonment residents attended the open court and highlighted issues related to water supply, sanitation, taxes, construction and maintenance, among others.
Officials issued on-the-spot directions on the received applications to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances. They warned that strict action would be taken against staff showing negligence or inefficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal emphasized that resolving public issues remained the top priority of the Cantonment Board. He added that all available resources were being utilized to ensure provision of basic facilities to residents.
He said the purpose of holding the open court was to provide citizens with a direct platform to present their complaints so that timely and effective solutions could be ensured.
Residents appreciated the initiative and thanked the DG Military Lands and Cantonments, CEO Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Amir Rashid and other officials for organizing the open court.
