LAHORE, Mar 30 (APP):Punjab Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharath has said that the Rawalpindi Signal Free Project will be completed in record time.
He expressed these remarks while chairing a meeting to review ongoing development projects across Rawalpindi Division, including the Signal Free Project, said a handout issued here.
The meeting was attended by officers of the Communications and Works Department, Highway Department, NESPAK and other relevant departments, while Highway Department officials from the division participated via video link.
The minister was briefed that the project comprises two flyovers and three underpasses, with construction work continuing in three shifts at a fast pace. The project also includes the modern remodeling of Kachari Chowk, Iftikhar Jahangir Janjua Chowk and Annexe Chowk.
During the meeting, ongoing development schemes across Rawalpindi Division were reviewed in detail. The minister directed the authorities concerned to ensure timely completion of all highway projects, including those in Murree and other areas of the division, and stressed that no delay would be tolerated.
He also inspected the Signal Free Project site and expressed satisfaction over the pace and quality of work. He said the project would benefit millions of citizens daily and help reduce traffic congestion, while also boosting commercial activity in the region.
Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharath further directed officials to expedite all development projects across the division in line with public facilitation priorities.
