RAWALPINDI, Oct 06 (APP):Rawalpindi Police have finalised security and traffic arrangements for the Pakistan-Sri Lanka practice match of the tri-nation cricket series on the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira.
The CPO chaired a meeting of senior officers at Police Lines Headquarters and reviewed arrangements for the match. He said around 6,000 police personnel had been deployed for security and traffic duties, while senior officers were supervising the arrangements in the field.
Snipers have been positioned on rooftops around the stadium, with security monitoring being conducted through Safe City and CCTV cameras. A special control room has also been established to oversee security.
Police mobiles, Elite Force and Dolphin Squad personnel are conducting regular patrols around the stadium, while traffic arrangements have been put in place to facilitate citizens.
CPO Sukhaira directed senior officers to remain in the field and ensure the effective implementation of all security and traffic measures, assuring that foolproof arrangements were being made for the match.
