Rawalpindi administration finalizes arrangements for Chehlum processions
RAWALPINDI, Jul 29 (APP):The district administration has finalized arrangements to ensure the peaceful and secure observance of the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS).
Chairing a meeting with procession license holders at the DC Complex on Wednesday, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Maliha Sehar directed all relevant departments to work in close coordination to ensure the peaceful, safe, and well-organized observance of the Chehlum.
The meeting was attended by procession organizers, officials from the district administration, police, Rescue 1122, municipal authorities, and representatives of other concerned departments.
Participants reviewed security measures, law and order, sanitation, traffic management, electricity and water supply, street lighting, medical facilities, and other logistical arrangements for the Chehlum processions.
License holders also highlighted their concerns and submitted suggestions, which the administration assured would be addressed on a priority basis.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC (General) Maliha Sehar directed all departments to perform their duties with effective coordination and mutual cooperation to ensure that all Chehlum processions conclude peacefully, safely, and in an organized manner.
She said the district administration is utilizing all available resources to provide maximum facilities to mourners and ensure foolproof security arrangements during the observance.
