LAHORE, Nov 01 (APP):Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources Manshaullah Butt on Sunday stated that the timely provision of financial assistance to workers remains a top priority of the government, aimed at ensuring transparency through direct bank transfers.
According to a spokesperson, in a statement, the minister highlighted that the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund (PWWF) achieved a historic milestone by executing the largest single-day financial disbursement in its history. On October 30, a total of Rs 460,775,486 covering 1,331 individual welfare grant cases was transferred directly into the personal bank accounts of registered industrial workers.
He further disclosed that between August 1, 2026, and October 30, 2026, registered industrial workers received cumulative financial assistance exceeding Rs 2.165 billion (Rs 2,165,100,000), covering a total of 10,246 welfare grant cases.
Manshaullah Butt reiterated that transferring grants directly into the bank accounts of workers ensures an effective, transparent, and hassle-free disbursement mechanism
