Punjab launches green electric bus service in Khushab

SARGODHA, Jul 01 (APP):The Green Electric Bus Service was formally launched in Khushab on Wednesday, marking a major step towards modern, environmentally friendly public transport in the district.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the service via video link.
According to the official spokesperson here, the inaugural ceremony, held at the DC’s Office in Jauharabad, was attended by Deputy Commissioner Dr Jahanzeb Hussain Labar, District Police Officer Dr Ammara Shirazi, PML-N Khushab President Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi, Member of the National Assembly Malik Gul Asghar Khan Baghoor, Members of the Punjab Assembly Malik Asif Bhah Awan and Sardar Zafar Abbas Khan Baloch and others.
Following the inauguration, the deputy commissioner, district police officer, elected representatives, media personnel and members of the public took a ride on the electric bus, describing it as a comfortable, modern and environmentally friendly addition to the district’s transport system.
Officials said the Green Electric Bus Service will provide residents of Khushab with safe, affordable and quality public transport while reducing environmental pollution.
The initiative is being viewed as a significant milestone in improving the district’s public transportation network and promoting sustainable urban mobility.
