LAHORE, Jun 20 (APP):Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that providing basic facilities to the people remains the top priority of the Punjab government in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting on Saturday to review the progress of various development projects in PP-153. The minister said the journey of development and prosperity would continue and that resolving public issues was among the government’s foremost priorities.
During the meeting, officials informed participants that hundreds of streets in PP-153 had been repaired, while work on several development schemes was progressing rapidly. The projects are expected to be completed in the coming days, bringing improved civic amenities to millions of residents in the area.
Khawaja Salman Rafique directed the relevant departments to ensure the timely completion of all ongoing development projects. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on the quality of development work and said transparent monitoring of projects was being carried out continuously.
The minister noted that key development initiatives include the Harbanspura to Phatak Saddar Cantt trunk sewerage project worth Rs4.5 billion, installation of tube wells in Amna Park of UC-148 at a cost of Rs1.1 billion, as well as street repair, sewerage improvement and clean drinking water supply schemes.
He reiterated that the Punjab government is committed to improving infrastructure and public services to enhance the quality of life for citizens.
Among those present at the meeting were Salman XEN WASA, XEN MCL Wahab, Deputy Director LDA Aqeel Anwar, Syed Ikhlas Shah, Abdul Wahab and other officers concerned.
