RAWALPINDI, Aug 31 (APP): President All Rawalpindi Restaurants Association and member District Peace Committee Sain Muhammad Ijaz Malik on Monday lauded the development projects being executed under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, saying the mega schemes were improving public facilities and providing relief to citizens.
In a statement, he highlighted major development initiatives in the city, including Metro stations, Raja Bazaar, Commercial Market, Kacheri Chowk, the Kidney Transplant Centre and Cardiology Hospital.
He also appreciated the Nawaz Sharif Flyover, TM Chowk and GPO Chowk underpasses, Rawalpindi Ring Road, Kacheri Chowk project and the dedicated bike lane on Old Airport Road, saying these projects would help improve traffic flow and road safety.
Ijaz Malik said that progress on water supply projects linked with Rawal, Khanpur and Chahan dams, along with the Dadocha Dam project nearing completion, would further improve water supply facilities for the residents of Rawalpindi and Cantonment areas.
He said the government’s public welfare initiatives were commendable and would contribute to the country’s continued development and prosperity.
