Punjab CM grieved at loss of lives in Nepal

LAHORE, Aug 28 (APP): Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Friday expressed grief over the loss of lives and damage to property caused by torrential rains and severe flooding in Nepal.

 Expressing solidarity with the people of Nepal, the chief minister said the people of Punjab were standing with their Nepali brothers and sisters in the difficult hour. She said the loss of precious lives and widespread destruction caused by heavy rains and floods in Nepal was deeply distressing.

 CM Punjab prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and early rehabilitation of families affected by the disaster. She said the Punjab government was ready to extend all possible assistance to the government of Nepal on humanitarian grounds.
