PUCAR organizes seminar on Iqbal’s thought

The Punjab Council of the Arts (PUCAR) Sargodha Division on Wednesday organized a seminar titled ‘The Concept of Love for Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in Iqbal’s Thought and its Requirements for Individual and Collective Life’ to enlighten the younger generation with the vision of the national poet.

SARGODHA, Apr 22 (APP):The Punjab Council of the Arts (PUCAR) Sargodha Division on Wednesday organized a seminar titled ‘The Concept of Love for Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in Iqbal’s Thought and its Requirements for Individual and Collective Life’ to enlighten the younger generation with the vision of the national poet.
The event featured a comprehensive panel discussion involving prominent academic and literary figures including Professor Yusuf Khalid, Professor Dr. Nasim Abbas, Professor Dr. Sumaira Ijaz, Professor Imran Isfand, Professor Tariq Habib, Irfan Akbar Gujjar, and Najma Mansoor.
Welcoming the participants, Deputy Director PUCAR Sargodha Zahid Iqbal stated that the council’s primary objective is to foster Allama Iqbal’s ideology and a profound devotion to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) through reformative programs.
During the discussion, speakers emphasized that for Allama Iqbal, love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was not merely an emotional sentiment but a dynamic and practical force essential for individual character building and the formation of a conscious, united society.
Professor Yusuf Khalid and Professor Dr. Nasim Abbas highlighted the deep philosophical dimensions of Iqbal’s poetry, while Irfan Akbar Gujjar and Najma Mansoor elaborated on the collective social responsibilities emerging from this spiritual message.
The seminar also featured tableaus based on Iqbal’s philosophy which were highly appreciated by the local audience. Participants lauded the initiative and called for a continuous series of such intellectual gatherings to effectively disseminate the message of Iqbal across the division.
