PTA warns citizens to not give personal mobile SIM to someone else

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday has warned the public that if someone’s mobile SIM is in use by someone else, then get it blocked immediately.

LAHORE, Jun 04 (APP): The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday has warned the public that if someone’s mobile SIM is in use by someone else, then get it blocked immediately.
A spokesperson for the PTA said, “Giving your mobile SIM to someone else is a punishable offense, any illegal activity can be carried out through the SIM registered in your name. To find out how many SIMs are registered on your CNIC, visit this website cnic.sims.pk or send your National Identity Card number without the dash to 668.”
PTA instructed citizens to immediately block any unknown or unnecessary SIM, always obtain new SIMs from an authorized franchise or customer service center, and visit the authority’s official website for more information.
