WAH CANTT, Jul 1 (APP): The police arrested a proclaimed offender evading capture for nearly two decades in connection with a murder case, the police spokesman said on Wednesday.
The suspect, identified as Shehzad Akbar, was wanted after allegedly fleeing following his nomination in a murder case about 20 years ago. He had since been declared a proclaimed offender by the court, the police said.
According to investigators, Akbar had been living in Karachi after leaving Wah Cantonment. He was traced through human intelligence and apprehended during an intelligence-based operation conducted by police.
They said the suspect had been taken into custody and would be presented before the relevant court in accordance with legal procedures.
