Private institutions vital for quality education, national progress: Dr. Abrar Malik

RAWALPINDI, Jun 30 (APP): Central President of the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association (APPSCA) Dr. Abrar Hussain Malik on Tuesday said private educational institutions are playing a vital role in promoting quality education across the country and contributing significantly to national development.
He expressed these views during his visit to Skardu, where he held meetings with prominent educationists, academic administrators, and social figures to discuss the promotion of quality education, teachers’ professional development, curriculum reforms, and the enhancement of educational infrastructure in remote areas.
During the visit, the APPSCA president met Hafiz Rehmatullah, Director Khubaib College Skardu to review the specific challenges faced by private educational institutions in Gilgit-Baltistan, evolving academic requirements, and the provision of an upgraded learning environment for students.
Dr Abrar Malik also held a meeting with renowned educationist Professor Ehsanullah. The two sides exchanged views on the overall education system in Gilgit-Baltistan, teachers’ capacity building, and mechanisms to strengthen collaboration between public and private educational sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, the APPSCA president commended the contributions of educational institutions in Gilgit-Baltistan despite their limited resources. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy to support the private education sector and resolve its administrative and financial challenges.
He reiterated that APPSCA would continue its efforts to provide an effective platform for private institutions, enhance the professional skills of teachers, elevate academic standards, and secure a brighter future for students nationwide.
