FAISALABAD, Jun 30 (APP): A mock exercise was held to deal with possible flood situation in the district by Punjab Emergency Services Rescue-1122 , Faisalabad in tehsil Jaranwala on Tuesday.
The teams of various departments, including tehsil administration, Rescue 1122, Civil Defense, Health Department, Livestock, Rescue Volunteers took part in the exercise.
According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, in connection with preparations to deal effectively and timely with possible flood situation, the Rescue-1122 Faisalabad conducted a large-scale pre-flood mock
exercise at Gogera Branch Canal near tehsil Jaranwala.
Tehsil Incharge Rescue Safety Officer Muhammad Shahid gave a detailed briefing on the possible flood operation, available resources, rescue equipment and emergency response procedures.
During the mock exercises, Rescue 1122 personnel presented a successful practical demonstration of transporting affected people to safe places through boats, providing immediate first aid to the injured on the spot and transferring them to the hospital in time. The trained rescue swimmers and divers also demonstrated professional skills on the occasion.
