Police recover over 12.5 kg drugs in anti-narcotics operations
RAWALPINDI, May 22 (APP):Police have intensified their crackdown against drug trafficking on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO), Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, following arrest of three alleged drug suppliers and recovered more than 12.5 kilograms of drugs from their possession here on Friday.
According to Police spokesperson, Ratta Amral Police arrested a major drug supplier and seized 10 kg of drugs from his possession.
During initial interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to supplying narcotics in various areas of the city. Police officials stated that the accused was a habitual offender and has previously been involved in narcotics-related cases.
In separate operations, Naseerabad Police arrested another supplier and recovered 1.6 kg of drugs while Ganjmandi Police detained another individual with 1.2 kg of drugs.
Police authorities reiterated their commitment to eliminate the menace of drugs and stated that strict action against narcotics dealers would be continued across the district.
