FAISALABAD, Jul 07 (APP):The district police observed the death anniversary of martyr ASI Muhammad Nawaz on Tuesday, paid rich tribute to his sacrifice.
A smart contingent of Nishatabad police station presented a salute to the martyred, laid a wreath on the grave and offered Fateha.
A police spokesperson said that ASI Muhammad Nawaz was martyred in a bomb blast in Rawalpindi some 18 years back while performing duty.
In a statement, CPO Tanveer Hussain while paying tribute said that the martyred policemen were the nation’s valuable asset and our pride.
Their sacrifices can never be forgotten, he said, adding that it was our responsibility to take care of the families and children of the martyrs.
